Alice Jones Webb

As the only child of an avid outdoorsman (who desperately wanted a son), Alice Jones Webb grew up trying to keep up with her dad while he hunted and fished. Although her father could read the woods like an expert, he was utterly lost when it came to words and letters. So as soon as she was old enough to read, he thrust copies of popular hunting magazines into her hands so she could read the articles aloud to him in the evenings. The running family joke is that she learned about the birds and the bees while reading a story about the whitetail rut to her dad. Today, she is an accomplished hunter, angler, and author in her own right. Her writing has been featured in Outdoor Life, Field & Stream, Game & Fish, Hook & Barrel, Turkey Call, Free Range American, and other publications. She lives in rural North Carolina with her non-hunting husband, a codependent dog, and a well-stocked chest freezer.
